Amazing restaurant—food, service, etc Restaurant came as a suggestion from a colleague who had visited Perth previously. Wow, they were right. Vibe was professional, but hip with a little bohemian thrown in. Simple menu w assorted offerings, but it was all about the prep and preparation. Waitresses was lovely, warm and efficient w great wine suggestions and help on the menu. She was a wonderful Sherpa. Great wines, local and some from afar. Bar also capable of mixology! Had a perfectly seated steak w potatoes. Husband had wonderful fish. Star of the show was tomato side that was dressed perfectly and beautifully presented.

Amazing evening at Balthazar last night, a restaurant I had been wanting to try for a while. Finally had an occasion to return to Perth so I booked a table for dinner. All I can say is - wow. Absolutely blown away by the service, food, and drinks. Unfortunately I didn’t get our main server’s name however he was incredibly attentive and friendly, and had some fantastic wine recommendations. I actually don’t think I’ve ever had better cocktails in my life. We will be returning next time we are in Perth for sure.

Went here on Friday night and had the most amazing meal. Pate en Croute (very nice) for Starter, followed by Kangaroo (when in Rome!) which was amazing, paired with a beautiful bottle of Clonakilla Shiraz. My friends had the Steak and the Risotto - both delicious. Our waitress was amazing. I can certainly see why this place is ram-packed and definitely deserves its current #12 spot on TripAdvisor!

Four of us had the most wonderful evening at Balthazar. The staff were so friendly and really made our evening. Big shout out to Becky! The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. Next time we’re in Perth we shall definitely return. Fabulous!

My favorite restaurant is one I return to every major holiday to enjoy the food and service. Over the years, it has consistently maintained a high standard and has never disappointed me. I highly recommend it, especially the kangaroo meat, which is prepared exceptionally well. It's a must-try dish.

Every dish we ordered was absolutely perfect. The tenderloin steak in particular was incredibly soft and flavorful so tender that it could be pulled apart without even using a knife. It seemed quite difficult to visit without a reservation, and now I completely understand why. This was our first meal in Perth, and it made the start of our trip so enjoyable and memorable. Definitely coming back again!

Came here for Valentines Day and the food was purely incredible and easily one of the best foods in Perth! Everything and I mean everything tasted incredible, from the fresh scallops to pâté to dessert, we were impressed at the very least and will definitely return! The service was also friendly and kind! Also at OneRepublic’s concert in February 2026, they shouted out Balthazar as their favourite restaurant to dine in each time in Perth so that says a lot!

Amazing restaurant with spectacular food and a great local touch. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor, combining local ingredients with creative twists. The local wine was excellent and paired perfectly with the food. A special mention to Alice, who was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. The atmosphere is warm and stylish — truly an amazing place that I would highly recommend.

Enjoyed a nice dinner near our hotel; first time at this restaurant. Service and waitstaff very friendly, polite, and attentive. Food came out in good time, and meals were delicious, could not fault. Restaurant was quite busy and very popular. The style of the restaurant setting was very different: sort of mid century olde world charm - very effective in keeping with the heritage building.

Lovely meal here in Jan 2026. We didn't know what to expect. It's an intimate place that was busy on the night. Reserving a table in advance probably worth it. All the food was lovely. Not an extensive menu but well balanced and easy to understand. While its fine dining it's not too fussy. Great wine list too. Best place we ate in Peeth, do try it
